Pre-movie expectation

This movie have been hyped all around the places.This movie said to be the most expensive local production at a cost of RM13.6 Million.From the trailer that we watch,its so awesome and not really bad. Seriously we can’t wait for this movie,it shows that malaysian player one step further in this industry . Well we bet this movie will make the Impak Maksima movie look like ‘tadika director’(haha).Hope we won’t be disappointed!

Post-movie experience

After we have been watching this movie, it really worth it and it turned out not to bad. Though we was expecting more as we watched the trailers which seems to be promising, but we glad that Malaysia is be able to come out with a movie like this. Though the budget is low (very low if compare with major international action movies) & local produced, but the standard is on par with some international movies. At least, we see KRU is serious & put in lot of effort in producing this movie. Awesome and we see improvement. We hope KRU still learning due some of music score doesn’t match the scene. The Malaysia’s best epic film! 2 thumb’s up! go watch the movie dude! it’s really worth!WUHUU

The Malay Chronicles : Bloodline

The first movie production tell about Malay Bloodlines that know as "Hikayat Merong Mahawangsa.This is an adventure feature film set against the backdrop of ancient Malay, Roman and Chinese civilizations. It tells the tale of the journey of Merong Mahawangsa escorting a Roman prince to wed a beautiful Chinese princess during the 2nd century. Featuring an international cast, The Malay Chronicles: Bloodlines combines elements of romance, adventure, coupled with a strong dose of hand-to-hand combat & martial arts. We watch this movie on 16 March 2011 at Golden Screen Cinema.

This story begins when the prince of Rome came to marry the princess of China. Merong Mahawangsa entrusted to guard the prince.

But the princess of China is not consented to marry the prince. So, he had fled the night before they were married. With her guidance when the princess fled into the forest, they had bumped into the prince the chance to be in the forest. Then, the prince decided to take them away because he was told that the princess did not want to marry him.

The next morning, their camp was attacked by people of Garuda. Garuda’s people were kidnapped the princess and kill the prince. Merong Mahawangsa has collapsed as a result of injuries suffered during the war

However, he was rescued by an elderly man named Kesum. According to Kesum, Merong Mahawangsa would become their king and to unite them in one day. Merong Mahawangsa want to take revenge against the people of Garuda. By coincidence, Admiral of China has come to ask for help from Merong Mahawangsa to save their princess that had been kidnapped. Apparently, the prince of Rome was still alive because was rescued by the Admiral. They finally came together and agreed to attack the Garuda’s island.

Their arrival on the Garuda’s island, a battle ensued. However, Merong Mahawangsa killed many of the enemy by using the strategy which is by using sunlight to burn those forces of Garuda’s armies. But their efforts were blocked by Taji, a leader of Garuda. This is because Taji has magic powers that can bring storm to cover the sun. Merong Mahawangsa finally had to attack face to face with them.

Many soldiers who died in battle. This includes two friends of Merong Mahawangsa and Admiral of the China. However, Merong Mahawangsa managed to kill the admiral of the Garuda race. However, he has been held hostage by Taji when the troops from China and Rome arrived there to attack them. In order to save all, Merong Mahawangsa willing to sacrifice himself by stabbing himself on his own stomach with the sword until translucent and hit back at Taji.

Even though they managed to rescue the princess from China and won the battle, but they have lost the first king of Langkasuka. Such is the story of a king who was willing to sacrifice for the welfare of its citizens.
